The Rapido 127029 NSC 3800 cu.ft. Covered Hopper in HO Scale, representing TH&B (Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo) #1515, is back for a third time! This model features new road numbers and paint schemes. It aims to replace the inaccurate 4550 cu.ft. covered hopper car models on layouts and displays. The prototype cars were built to carry bulk commodities like powdered minerals, industrial chemicals, cement, and potash. They have a 100 - ton capacity with four hopper compartments totaling 3800 - 3850 cubic feet and come with either 4 round or continuous trough hatches. These cars were built by major Canadian car - builders and have traveled across Canada and the contiguous US. Apart from major carriers, many were built for leasing companies and are still in service. The Rapido model is scaled from manufacturer drawings and has alternative parts to represent differences between MIL and NSC constructed cars. Key features include a round - hatch or trough - hatch design, correct Dofasco S - 2 100 - ton trucks, two body variations, three brake equipment variations, etched running boards, factory - installed air pipes, and finely moulded plastic walkway supports. Please note, the picture may show a different road number.

Using your Rapido HO scale 3800 cu.ft. covered hopper is easy. Simply place it on your train layout's tracks. It's designed to fit well with other HO scale train models. When handling the model, be gentle as it has delicate parts like the etched running boards and brake crossover platform. Avoid dropping or applying too much pressure. For maintenance, use a soft, dry cloth to clean the model regularly. This will keep it looking great. If you need to clean the wheels, use a mild cleaning solution and a small brush. Make sure to dry the wheels thoroughly before putting the model back on the tracks. Keep the model in a dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent any damage to the paint and plastic parts.
