Grade crossings are very common on layouts. This Walthers Cornerstone structure kit is perfect for steam - or diesel - era layouts! The Gateman's Tower, inspired by Milwaukee Road's eight - sided towers, gives the operator a great view of trains and traffic. It also has pneumatic controls for raising and lowering gates. Similar towers were used until the 1970s on other railroads too. The kit comes with parts for two full towers, including tool sheds and storage bins. Parts are molded in gray and clear plastic. Tower: 5/8' (1.6cm) diameter, Tool Shed: 11/16 x 7/16' (1.8 x 1.1cm), Coal Box: 5/16 x 1/4' (.8 x.6cm).

Using this Walthers Gateman's Tower N Scale kit is easy. First, take out all the parts from the box and sort them according to the instructions. Then, start assembling the towers, tool sheds, and storage bins step by step. When handling the parts, be gentle as they are made of plastic and can break easily. For storage, keep the assembled or unassembled parts in a dry and cool place to prevent the plastic from warping. To clean the model, use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using any harsh chemicals as they might damage the plastic or the color of the parts.
