Discover the Rapido 50056A TH&B Canadian Mill Gondola in HO scale. This 52' 6 gondola, numbered #2469, comes in a sleek black as-delivered finish. The picture might show a different road number. Produced from 1943 through the 1950s for several Canadian railways, these cars were built in large numbers by National Steel Car and Eastern Car Company. They were used in general service across the US and Canada well into the 1980s, and some are still in company service today. Our model precisely replicates the prototype with delicate Z-bracing or hat channel ribs, separate wire grab irons, positionable drop ends, and ratchet-style hand brakes. It has a full underbody detail and a die-cast metal floor for smooth operation. The interior is also well-detailed with rivets and tie-downs. Three different 70-ton trucks are available, featuring turned, free-rolling metal wheels. Standard magnetic Macdonald-Cartier knuckle couplers are included. Key features of our HO scale model are accurate Z-brace side posts, full decoration and assembly, factory-installed grab irons, a detailed underbody, positionable drop ends, era-specific trucks, magnetic metal knuckle couplers at the right height, free-rolling turned metal wheelsets, full interior detail, multiple car numbers per scheme, and all-new car numbers.

Using your HO scale 52' 6 Canadian Mill Gondola is easy. Just place it on your model train track and enjoy watching it move. You can adjust the positionable drop ends as you like. When it comes to maintenance, gently clean the model with a soft cloth to keep it looking good. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they might damage the paint or details. Make sure to check the trucks and wheels regularly to ensure they are free-rolling. If you notice any issues with the couplers, they are magnetic, so they should easily connect and disconnect. Keep the model away from extreme temperatures and humidity to prevent any warping or damage. Have fun with your model train setup!
