The Atlas HO Scale Trinity 3230 Covered Hopper represents General American GACX #62758 in gray, black, and blue. Note that the picture might show a different road number. This covered hopper is a smaller version of TrinityRail's 5660 PD, developed from a base design by Thrall Car in the late 1990s. Its smaller size allows it to carry heavier loads like cement and different grades of fly ash, mainly operated by railcar leasing companies or shippers. It features all - new tooling, is ready to run, made of injection - molded plastic with fine scale detail. It has separately applied wire grab irons and cut levers, etched metal roofwalks, crisp painting and printing, and metal couplers.

Using this Atlas HO Scale Trinity 3230 Covered Hopper is easy. It's ready to run right out of the box, so you can quickly add it to your model train setup. When handling it, be gentle with the separately applied wire grab irons and cut levers as they are delicate. Avoid dropping or rough handling to prevent damage to the fine - scale details. For maintenance, you can use a soft, dry cloth to clean the body and the etched metal roofwalks. Make sure to keep it in a dry place to prevent the plastic from warping. If the metal couplers get dirty, you can use a small amount of metal cleaner to keep them in good working condition.
