This 52’6” mill gondola was made from 1943 through the 1950s for several Canadian railways. National Steel Car and Eastern Car Company built many of these cars. Our mill gondola was used in general service and traveled all over the US and Canada until the 1980s, and some are still in use today. Our model is super detailed, with delicate Z bracing or hat channel ribs, separate wire grab irons, positionable drop ends, and ratchet style hand brakes. It has a full underbody detail and a die - cast metal floor for smooth operation. The interior has full rivet and tie - down details. We offer three different 70 - ton trucks, all with turned, free - rolling metal wheels. Standard magnetic metal Macdonald - Cartier knuckle couplers are included.
