The ATLAS 20006911 is a stunning HO scale 70-ton open hopper model train representing the B&O (Baltimore & Ohio) #10389, painted in classic black, yellow, and white. Note that the picture might show a different road number. This hopper has been an industry standard on many railroads since the 1930s. It was once recommended by the AAR, though it lost popularity by the mid-1950s. Compared to cars with flat sides, it offers greater capacity. However, the original open hoppers had an issue where acidic coal caused corrosion at the car's joints, leading to expensive rebuilding programs. This model comes with many great features. It has true scale dimensions and accurate details. The underframes are weighted and detailed. It's equipped with AccuMate® Knuckle Couplers, and the trucks have free-rolling metal wheels. The painting and lettering are very accurate, and there's a removable coal load. The AccuMate® couplers are made under license from AccuRail, Inc.

Using this model train is easy. Just place it on your HO scale train track and connect it to other cars using the AccuMate® Knuckle Couplers. You can add or remove the coal load as you like to change the look. When handling the train, be gentle to avoid damaging the detailed parts. Keep it away from sharp objects and rough surfaces. For maintenance, use a soft, dry cloth to clean the train regularly. Don't use any harsh chemicals as they might damage the paint and details. Store it in a cool, dry place when not in use to prevent any warping or damage. If you notice any loose parts, it's best to contact the manufacturer for proper repair.
